  1. You blog post showed up on my Facebook feed at the perfect time! I had just spent several minutes looking through pictures and videos from the local school’s 5th grade program and began having major doubts that we are doing the right thing with the crazy homeschool life we lead (just look at all the fun we are missing out on!). Your post reminded me that God called us to lead this life and while it may not make sense to others, or even to me sometimes, it’s where He wants us right now! Thank you!

    1. I’m so glad you shared this with me – how encouraging to hear when God’s timing lines up like that! And I totally understand about second guessing the homeschooling at times. I have to remind myself that as long as God is calling us to do it, it must be the best way! For now, at least! ;)

  2. I love the line, I’m giving God the pen. It reminds me that he’s the author and finisher of my faith. When my faith needs building he’s there.
I remember what it was like to think through those decisions as they were happening. Even now it’s a little unnerving, feeling confusion and doubt welling up. It’s a good thing God loves to grow us. Good post!

    1. Yes, thank goodness he’s the author of our faith and our life stories, as much as we’ll let him! He certainly can be confusing at times, but it always ends up for good! :)

  3. Ah, yes, following God’s lead. Quite the adventure! Our auto repair business, as well as our two little ones, were God’s idea. All of these are stretching us for sure! I’m a list maker because of them too, and I still forget things!

I like the term “ark building faith”. That’s totally IT!

    1. Thanks, Nicole! Yes, following God’s lead certainly leads to us being stretched at times! Often, more like… :)
