  1. These are great thoughts. I’m in a similar boat, although not the same. I worry I haven’t done enough to train them, as if they might meet a scenario I didn’t think of (100% likely) and that I will have failed them as a dad.
    I’m glad you found some peace. I’m sure the kids will come back all in 1 piece, and they’ll have had wonderful adventures and new experiences. It’s just hard not to curate those new adventures for them. That part’s up to the Father.

    1. Exactly. There’s no way to prepare them for 100% of the scenarios they’ll encounter, so our focus has to be helping them become more like Jesus, and the rest will flow from there. At least that’s my hope and prayer.😄
      And God reminded me that if they’re always relying on their parents, they’ll never learn to rely on him…so that smacked me in the face.😆🤷‍♀️
