  1. I love this! What a unique and beautiful post, Jessie! I will never forget the good talks I had with my grandma! I still feel connected to her today, even though she is now with Jesus. Hearing her experiences vastly widened my perspective and provided a a much more complete view of life. It helped me not to simply live out of my own experience, but to consider my life in context with the generations. What a wonderful gift! (I am guessing you know exactly what I mean!) This blog is a welcome nudge for us all. Thanks, Jessie!

    1. Thanks, SJ, I do know what you mean! I love how you phrased it…hearing your grandma’s experiences helped widen your perspective and consider your life in context with the generations. A thousand times yes! :)

  2. Quite a thought-provoking post. There are many questions I didn’t think to ask if my elders and they are no longer here. Make the most of any opportunity to speak to others and learn about their lives.

    1. It is hard to think of missed opportunities, but I do think it is probably unusual to dive very deep with older loved ones. We just don’t always think of it when we’re going through our days! We can only move forward, though, and as we slowly but surely become older than many around us, maybe we can even initiate stories and conversations with the younger generations, in case they don’t think to ask. :)
      Thanks, CJ!
