  1. Great post, Jessie, and great ideas. And, as a retired teacher, may I say that these three things apply to public school teachers, too. I’m not sure I ever had them all implemented well on any given day (or maybe any given year, lol), but working on them as you realize you’ve gotten off track makes a big difference in teacher and student. Apologies to students don’t hurt, either.

    1. I love this! I guess I was so in my head about our own homeschooling, I didn’t even think about it applying to all teachers, but it totally would! And yes, I rarely have all these things applied well on any given day. Just have to keep trying, like you said. Excellent thoughts — thanks so much for sharing. :)

  2. Good advice! Spoken like a seasoned homeschool mom. I needed these reminders after homeschooling for years. I too made many mistakes in those early years of homeschooling. Lots of trial and lots of error on my part. I am no expert and I have to rely on God for grace, wisdom, motivation, and all of it. Thanks for the encouragement.

    1. Yes! Isn’t homeschooling just one huge experiment of trial and error with God’s grace and wisdom to balance it all out?? :) I couldn’t do it without Jesus, I know that much!
